Is it possible to extend the software with APIs? Calling APIs from Aeon Timeline, or the software itself having APIs?
Aron does not have any scripting possibilities at all, there have been discussions here about the file format but there is no documentation of it. There is a Python library that parses Aron 2’s files but it is reverse engineered, we gave up on the Aron 3. Too much work without help from Aron themselves (like information when the format is changed).
Scripting support would definitely be welcome.
