App crashes when adding an event

Problem Description + Screenshots

I must be cursed — I’m doing the most basic,simple thing — adding an event on a specific date — and the app is crashing with this screen:

Steps to reproduce

  1. Create a new timeline (I used the historical fiction template)
  2. Add an event
  3. Edit the event date to “full date” and set the year to “538”
  4. App crashes

  • Are you able to reproduce this bug reliably?
    Yes.

  • Can you make this bug happen with a clean timeline file?
    Yes.

  • Does it only happen with a specific timeline file?
    No.

Hi Scott,

Thanks so much for reporting this. We’ve reproduced the issue when using the edit menus to change the date. We’ll get a fix out for it as soon as we can next week.

In the meantime, you should be able to avoid the crash by selecting the event and using the Inspector to set its date instead. Let us know though if you encounter any more problems.
