Associate Characters have puzzling dates

In the Character card/panel, under the Relationships section, I have asscociated one character with a number of others. Several of the other characters now have a date underneath them. EG: “2 months 2 weeks”; “7 years 7 months before start”. What do these dates relate to? They DO NOT have anything to do with when the principle character first interacted with the associated character. (In the latter case this is at least 5 years before the characters met.)

Following the link to the last associated character (“7 years, 7 months”), that Character card/panel has an associated event with a date below it that is YEARS before it appears in my timeline.

What is going on? Any suggestions? Can I switch off the date/time displayed under each Relationship so I’m not distracted by the error? How?

It’s referencing the character’s birthday/start-date. So it means that one character was born 7 years and 7 months before the other.

Thank you @Faustyna - Sorry for the panic! It took me a while to double check this, though. It still feels counter-intuitive that the date “before start” under an event related to a character, refers to the character’s birth date and not the event.
