I doubt this is possible at the moment, but is there a way for avatars to appear on the timeline with an item without having the same huge image showing? Like I don’t want the big square visible on my items. Just the little circle?
Hi @Ncj700,
Apologies for the delay getting back to you.
There isn’t currently a way to do this besides showing the larger image. We are however working on adding a way to do this, so that you’ll be able to show both avatars and item type icons on the timeline.
Hi @Ncj700,
Actually, to correct my last message - I’m not completely sure whether this is what you meant, but if you’re showing people or characters as items on the timeline, you can show their avatars on the item card by:
- Opening the Content panel from the view header
- Selecting the option to show Avatars on the item card
If you’re showing multiple item types, such as both Events and Characters, you may need to select Short Label instead. This is because, when the visible item types use different compact display styles, Aeon Timeline currently only shows the option for one of those styles. However, enabling that option should still show all compact displays.
I had confused this with the work that’s currently in progress, which will add the option to show the avatar in place of the diamond icon on the timeline.
