Apparently I have my files on version 1. I have the license for version 1 also. First of all, can I transfer my license over to version 3, or do I need to purchase it again? Second, is there any way to transfer over my files? Do I need to get version 2 and make it a two-step process? Any help would be appreciated.
Yes, you will need to purchase a new license for version 3 to use that version.
In regards to opening version 1 files, you will have to convert them to the version 2 format, as version 3 does not directly read version 1 files.
To do this, you will have to download version 2 from our website here: Older Versions | Aeon Timeline (you can just download the free trial, you don’t have to pay anything) and open your files in this version. It will convert them to the version 2 format (.aeonzip), which can be opened in version 3.
You can also email your version 1 timeline files to us at support@timeline.app and we can convert them for you.
