Can you remove hours/mins/secs altogether (and only use days)

Hello, I was wondering if it was possible to do away with having hours/mins/seconds times at all (and having days as the lowest level of granularity).

The reason I ask is because I’m struggling to drag things to an even time (say, the start of the day), and I have no need to go more specific. I always end up dragging it to a random time and it’s hard to be precise, which means time consuming manual overriding.

This is perhaps compounded by the snapping in Timeline view - it seems to snap to the current level of zoom you have - so if you are zoomed out enough to only see every second day, it will only snap to increments of 2 days. However, zooming in enough to see every day ALSO adds the hours/mins/seconds, which means my snapping goes by increments of 6 hours, etc.

Argh! I really just want a way to either do away with the hours/mins/seconds altogether, or an option to snap to 1 day increments regardless of zoom level.

Thank you!

I’m unsure if this is what you’re wanting…but setting the duration of an event to 1 Day eliminates the hour/minute/seconds (if you do it for each event). It’s part of the event settings.

Event 1-Day Duration

When you stretch the timeline you can see an event is aligned to the day you selected.

Hope that helps…

The ability to keep a certain precision for a date, regardless of what zoom level you are using when you manipulate events on the timeline, is currently not available, but it is something we are planning on adding in the future.

Thanks Bill, I was hoping to find a solution that didn’t involve manually tweaking each event, but it seems like that’s not an option so your way looks good.
