On macOS, the menu indicates that cmd+backspace should delete an item – and indeed clicking the menu entry does that. The keyboard command though, erases the content of the select colum (e.g. label).
Oh, it does work if you select the ID column. Curious.
Currently when using the keyboard shortcuts there is no way for them to apply to a selected row (ie. item), and instead their focus is in the current cell, which is why you are seeing this behaviour. We have created a ticket to look into this issue to see if it can be improved.
