Problem Description + Screenshots

In the timeline view, times are displaying as expected. In the spreadsheet and outline view, times are sometimes shown as Ham/pm and others as H:mmam/pm.

Steps to reproduce!

Create a timeline, add events, add start and end times to those events. View in timeline, spreadsheet, and outline view and note the differences in how the time is displayed.

  • Are you able to reproduce this bug reliably? – Yes

  • Can you make this bug happen with a clean timeline file? – Yes

  • Does it only happen with a specific timeline file? – No

Thanks for posting this, I have passed it onto our developers to look at in the future.

The reason that this is happening is because on Timeline View it is looking at the whole range when determining what precision to use (and therefore since the end date has minute precision it is displaying it as 8:00 - 8:30 pm), but it is dealing with each column separately in Spreadsheet View, so it just displays 8pm.

If you want everything to display in minute precision, you can type 8:00 pm when entering the event, and it will display that in both views.

Thanks, appreciated. :0)

Just extra info, in case it helps: Most of the times on the events in my timeline are based on date constraints, so set by the software itself, yet, they do not carry the format over from one linked event to the next.
