Dates and durations question

Hello.

I understand that the level of date precision in Aeon Timeline is determined by the maximum precision of the start date and duration entered. For example, if I enter a start date of 2012 with a duration of 3 years, the timeline will display the event as spanning 2012–2014. My question is: is there a way to adjust how the years are counted so that the start year is not automatically treated as a full year? For instance, an event running from 2012 to 2014 I would consider a 2-year span, not 3 years. In other words, I don’t want 2012 to be counted as “Year One.

If I recall correctly, the ability to define this will be part of the soon-to-enter-beta version 3.5. :slight_smile:

Hi @Diana1 yes, @SCN is correct. This is another feature that’s coming in 3.5. It’ll be easy to switch between inclusive and exclusive dates when calculating the duration. :raised_hands:
