It seems to me that Time is the default Date Precision.
Is it possible to set the default Date Precision to Month?
When two events are related with a Date Constraint ‘Start equals start of’ and I change the Date Precision of one event, the Date Precision of the related event is not changed, is this by design?
The default Date Precision when you add an event to the timeline is based on the zoom level you are currently set at. If you are zoomed in, it will default to Time, but if you zoom out it will default to Day or larger, such as month or year.
It isn’t possible to set a standard default Date Precision.
Dates keeping their precision unless they specifically violate a constraint is probably an edge case that wasn’t considered in the design process, we will add to are feature request as something to consider.
