Difference between Event, Action, etc.?

Is there any semantic difference between the Types of items in the timeline? I.e., does changing an Event to an Action or (or any other types) have any functional effect in Timeline (or in the way it syncs with Ulysses)?

thanks,

shane

Changing your item to different event types can have a functional effect, it depends on the template you are using and the item type. For example, in the Fiction template, Events can have dates and appear in the Narrative, but Backstory items can only have dates, they cannot appear in the Narrative (this is if you use the default settings, it can be changed).
In sounds like you are using the Screenplay template, in general there is not a lot of difference between the different event types (ie. Event, Action, Dialogue, Transition), however they do have different properties. You can look up the differences in Advanced Settings (the cog icon, then Data Types, then Edit).
If you change an Event to a different item type, like a Character, then there will be more differences that would change (specifically the relationships and properties they can have), and would affect your syncing (as the folders you are syncing to events and entities like Characters are different)
