Is there any way to track dynamic properties of characters? For instance, Alice is a member of team A from 2010-2012, team B from 2013- 2017, and team C from 2017-2022. I could make “Alice is on team A,” “Alice is on team B,” and “Alice is on Team C” events, but that is not the solution I’m looking for.

No, I don’t think it’s possible. If you want to give it dates it will be an event. But if it is something that has dates it might have some advantages to treat it as an event. You can always use filters to keep it out of sight.
