Granularity of Event Schedule

What is the granularity of events in Aeon? I know I can set them to a specific date in whatever calandar is in use but what about hours even minutes? Can’t check this directly as my free-trail of version has expired and I am away from my old Mac running version 2.

Why is this important to me? I bake and already planning my Christmas 2023 baking schedule during which I will have to sync various bakes with use of my oven. The order in which things go in the oven is important as various item to be baked on the same require widely different temperatures which means want to start with the items needing a low temperature first moving on to the succession of items that need ever higher temperatures. It is much easier and quicker to raise the oven’s temperature than it is to wait for it to cool back down. Events would therefore need granularity down to the minute to accommodate the bake itself and then the raising of the temperature (I know how long it takes for the oven to reach specific temps.)

Think I’m a little early doing this? Not when several of the events on the timeline are checking my stock of ingredients to avoid shortages and price gouging around Christmas. For example, I use a lot of ground almonds (both for making marzipan and the basis of korma curries) therefore need to ensure I have sufficient in the cupboard to use in baking and cooking. Plus Christmas “baking” starts in early October with the preparation of Lebkuchen dough and therefore need to check around September whether there is enough potash and spice mix on hand to make it in time as if not I need to plan a trip to London’s Borough Market and the German food store there to purchase more potash.

The dates in Aeon Timeline can go down to the second, so you will be able to specify times to the minute if that is what you are after.

This is such a great usage for Aeon Timeline, I just love to see how different the use cases of people are!
