Large wasted vertical space when using Stacked Groups

I keep my characters’ histories in a separate timeline to my story (or stories). The history may go back 100 years, whereas the story might only be a day or two, so this makes sense, even with the new Narrative view. In TL2, I’d Group By Character, in TL3 this is achieved via Stacked Groups. I might have twenty or thirty characters, so minimising vertical space is important.

The problem I’m seeing is a huge amount of wasted vertical space at the bottom of every character “track” in TL3, regardless of the Timeline Layout. See attached.

Is there any way to reduce this wasted vertical space?
If not, can it be fixed, please.

Do you mean that you want to see each character separately from each other?
Can you tell what you want to see by Group By Character?

No, I can group by/stack group by location, character, or whatever. It’s the wasted vertical space that I’m complaining about – as the title says. I think the image shows it clearly. Compared to TL2, I’m losing about a 1/3 of the vertical screen real estate to wasted space.

Hi Marc,
I agree the minimum height/padding here could be reduced.

I will make a ticket to trim it down.

Matt

Thanks. There are more problems in this area, which I’ll note elsewhere.
