New Narrative Guide - We want your feedback

This is interesting and I did go ahead and set it up. However, it does not allow me to work in the Narrative View the way that I work: set up the cards, nest them, and then move them around as sub-documents of scenes as I go from folders containing story arcs to folders that are laid out like the book. The thing that sold me on Aeon was the card system of the Narrative View being shown as in the Orient Express example as multiple cards (events) to one scene. While my finished story may work as one card per scene, my work in progress definitely does not and since I’m more of a pantser/plotser than an outliner, this process is ongoing as I flesh out the story. At this point, I do think the only way to get what I want (and I may be the only one that works this way so I get it) is to selectively sync only Folders and Scenes (but not Events, Sub-scenes or Passages or Exposition) to Scrivener in some way or to have multiple Narratives available. Nevertheless, I appreciate you both taking the time to answer me, I really do. I’ve learned a lot just from this particular interchange. And I may set up the next project differently now that I have a better understanding of how the Narrative actually integrates with Scrivener.

Unfortunately, it’s not currently possible to selectively sync narrative items in that way. I’ve double checked with the rest of the team and there aren’t really any other workarounds we can think of.

It’s good to hear that you’ve picked up some tips though. Hopefully you can find a solution that suits your way of working :slightly_smiling_face:
