Numberline template (Aeon TL 2)

Tl;dr: I am looking for the number line template from Aeon Timeline 2 as I cannot find an equivalent in v.3; or else instructions on how to set up a non-time based ‘timeline’.

I am using Aeon Timeline 3 to help with the organisation of a non-fiction project and it has been incredibly helpful already in keeping an overview of the structure, tracking different types of content, references from one section to another, missing bits, reused content…
My problem is that this project has a clear flow that does not involve dates. Intead, I want to track the flow using the amount of words in each section: Chapter 1 blocks Chapter 2, and it’s x words long, Chapter 2 blocks Chapter 3, etc.

Right now, I am fudging this with a 10h day where every hour stands for 100 words, and that’s kind of ok, but not very intuitive. The manual for version 2 teases me with a ‘number line’ template, that sounds exactly what I’m looking for, but I cannot find any example anywhere that describes how this is set up. So if anyone still has Aeon Timeline 2 and can tell me what a ‘number line’ is and how it’s achieved, or has created one independently, I would be very grateful.

Here is an empty “number line” project file I made for you with AT2. Unfortunately, this forum does not allow aeonzip files as attachments, so I put it in one of my GitHub repositories. Just click on the Download button and try to load it with AT3.

By the way, for LibreOffice and OpenOffice users, I have a convenient solution with my self-written novel organizer and a statistics plugin that displays the corresponding diagrams like so:

Thank you so much. Unfortunately, Aeon Timeline 3 hangs on import - I get as far as the ‘new types’ dialog, and then it sulks, so whatever they’re doing might not be compatible with version 3 :frowning:

Drat.
