Option to not reset year number at new age

I’m using a custom calendar with multiple ages for my novel, but the year continues on throughout the timeline. For example it could be DD/MM/2025 AGE1 moving to DD/MM/2026 AGE2, but instead it resets to DD/MM/1 AGE2.

If there’s a way to change this already, forgive me, as a google/youtube/aeon’s website search brought up no solutions…

I assume your feature request refers to eras. Actually, the purpose of eras in Aeon Timeline is to restart the year count.

If you mean ages in a continuous calendar, such as ‘Stone Age’, ‘Middle Ages’ or ‘Modern Ages’, I suggest you represent it in a different way.

A couple of things that might work for you here:

  • Calendar Markers - Sit at the top of the timeline view and can be set to mark the period with a colored block (Draw on timeline).
  • Historical Period Item Type with grouping enabled like we’ve done with the Ancient History starting template.
