Save not working - specific file

Save no longer working on a specific file.

OS Windows 11 Home 22621.1992 English (UK)

I assume it’s a problem with the file, not the app. However - I need a fix, because there is a lot of work in that file. When I save from the main menu or anywhere else, and then close, the save dialogue comes up. Clicking yes just makes the dialogue go away, but doesn’t save anything - the dialogue comes up again when you try to close. Click no to the dialogue loses all changes.

File → Save As does not work?

As I say, saving from the main menu or anywhere else doesn’t work, no.

Right, there is File → Save and File → Save As… menu entries. I was searching to understand have you tried File → Save As… into a different file name, also in a different folder? This to see if the problem is in the file system’s permissions or in the file’s internal structure, which may be corrupted.

Oh, sorry…
The thing seems to be working in fact now, which is weird. No, I didn’t try that, I suppose because I’d saved most of the day’s work outside the app and so I wasn’t desperate. I’ll try it if there’s a next time, but it’s still a bit concerning. Thanks for your help.
