Short Title How to use

Hey, I get to be first!

(In the event inspector, there is a field for the Title and below it one for ‘Short Title’, where does the Short Title appear?
I would prefer to. use it on the Timeline itself, but can’t see how.

Everything is working fine btw. Great Job.

Hi Bernard,
The short title is one of the options to show relationships on the item card.

So opening up the “Murder on the Orient Express” demonstration file, you can see this on the timeline view:

Those are the “short label” names given to those characters. They similarly appear if you show Relationship columns in the Spreadsheet.

For reference, the two alternative options are to show:

  • numeric identifiers, which is often useful for project management type activities; or
  • initials/avatars, which is a person’s initials inside a coloured circle
