I’ve created a custom data type for story beats, and a relationship field for events to link to story beats. It is showing correctly in my outline in aeon. However, I want to sync to scrivener, and the relationship I created does not show in the list of relationships that I can have sync to metadata fields in scrivener . Any advice?
In order for a relationship to be synced in Scrivener the item type that it is a relationship for needs to be:
- Not in the Chronological Order
- Not in the Narrative Order
If you open Advanced Settings (the cog icon, then Data Types tab, then Edit) and click on your story beats item type, you can scroll down to the “Show In” heading on the panel on the right to see if you have set it to be in either of the two orders above.
If this is set up correctly, but you are still unable to sync the relationship, is it possible for you to send through the timeline file to support@timeline.app? This will help us work out what the issue is.
Thank you! That worked!
