Tab renaming

OS Version: 13.7.8
OS Language Setting:

Version: 3.5.40
Application Shell: 3.5.42

Unable to rename a duplicated tab by adding to the end of it, ie Timeline 2, Timeline 3, Timeline Grouped, Timeline (whatever).

I duplicated the Timeline tab, selected Group.
Selected Rename (tab) and the name “Timeline” turned into a small text field with the name highlighted, which filled the text space.
Tried to click after the “e” to add " 2" but it closed and remained as “Timeline”.
No matter how many times after that I selected Rename, nothing happens so it is stuck with the same name as the tab it was duplicated from.
Note: Yes, I can rename if I type to replace the whole name.

  • Are you able to reproduce this bug reliably? YES
  • Can you make this bug happen with a clean timeline file? UNKNOWN
  • Does it only happen with a specific timeline file? NO

Awesome.
Could you make these kinds of text fields longer so the text in the beginning doesn’t disappear as you type? Not sure if this is one but I’ve seen others and think other people have mentioned as well. For this one I need to be able to click after the last letter and continue typing and still be able to see the whole name. Thanks

Hi @mishkish Ah yes, I can see what you mean.

I’ve passed this on, and we’ll see how we can improve that in a future release.
