Is it possible to have two instances of Timeline running, so that you can switch from one to the other as needed?
You can’t run two instances of Aeon Timeline (version 3) at the same time, however it will allow you to open multiple files in different windows, so you can switch back and forth between multiple files if that is what you are looking for.
You are also able to have both Aeon Timeline 2 and Aeon Timeline 3 running at the same time.
I was hoping I could have one instance on one screen and the other instance on a second monitor, so that I wouldn’t need to switch.
I have unstalled V2. Would it accept a V3 project, were I to reinstall it?
No, version 2 only opens version 2 files, so you wouldn’t be able to run the same file on both version 2 and version 3 at the same time.
I assume what you are after is the ability to view the same file in two separate windows in separate monitors ?(instead of using the split screen functionality which allows multiple views of the file, but in the one window)
I posted the question before you mentioned the split screen option, so it was of only technical interest afterwards.
Thanks for your help.
