Unnecessarily narrow menu elements are cutting off text

Not so much a bug as a frustrating choice by Aeon, I think: I use a small Mac Air laptop and a 13" iPad Air as an external monitor. I’m finding that text is cut off (in some cases enough to be a problem, in most cases just an annoyance) because menus are constrained to a particular width that is often too narrow for the words (like ‘Relationships,’ ‘Spreadsheet,’ ‘Narrative Folders,’ and ‘Character Groups’ for example). It’s more a problem when looking at user-entered information like event names (especially in the inspector) but even some program text is truncated.

I tried attaching a screen shot but it didn’t work. In any case, it’s most overlaid (context?) menus with long words.

My accessibility text settings are set to Default, my Aeon View>Workview Zoom is 100%, but my Aeon View>Text Size is set to Jumbo (which may be the issue, but it’s set that way for a reason and there’s screen room for wider menus to show whole words).

Hi @Anysia ,

Thanks for reaching out.

Could you please email the screenshot(s) to support@aeontimeline.com so we can better see which menus you’re referring to?

Balancing larger text sizes with keeping views visible and still having enough space in menus can take some tuning. We appreciate your help improving this and we’ll take a look and see what can be done.

HI,

I finally had time to sit down to do screenshots but saw there was an update so thought I’d install that first. Apparently I’ve lost access to the updates though. Am I booted from the Beta program or ?
