Hello! So I have the latest version 3.5.36. I used to use Aeon Timeline like 10 years ago back with Aeon Timeline 2. I purchased 3, but never used it. Well, I am trying to get back into using it, and I tried to watch the tutorial videos, but they aren’t the same as what mine looks like and I am not getting the same buttons or prompts. So I’m having a hard time following the current walkthroughs, and I tried to search but couldn’t seem to find any more up-to-date tutorials. Is there someone else who did a more updated version of Aeon Timeline so I can figure out how to use it? Even if it’s a written tutorial I’ll take it! Because it’s definitely overwhelming me. Thank you!
I haven’t checked the tutorials since vers. 3.5 was released a few days ago. A lot has changed in that update. What version do you have?
I have version 3.5.36. I can see some people using a similar version on youtube (based on when they did theirs I’d assume probably 3.4), but the official Aeon Timeline is closer to 3.2. I’m guessing based on update timelines and when the video was posted. But the official one looks a lot different from the current one and was over 2 years ago almost 2.5. So I’m getting a bit confused.
They posted a whole new set of updated guides at this link Guides | Aeon Timeline
I found them very helpful, but would like even more images.
Thank you so much! For some reason I could only find the three youtube videos from the website. Not sure how I missed the whole guide, but I really appreciate you linking it here! Thanks again!
@AeonRob Honestly, it might be worth making a more extensive in-app tutorial.
I’ve been using Aeon since A2, and I had headaches getting used to 3.5 during the beta process. I still sometimes get confused which way relationship labels work and things like that, and while there might be useful features, I find it a lot harder to read through a wall of text than poke things and see how they work, so all the written tutorials aren’t much use for me. Too much technical jargon.
The step-by-step was good, so something a bit more complete to explain all the features rather than just basic set up would be so, so helpful in knowing and learning new features, even for people who’ve been using the app for a while.
