Vertical version of timeline?

Good people,

I used AT last year sporadically, and have a vague memory of there being an option to have the time displayed vertically. Was I hallucinating (or thinking of another program)?

I’m starting to plot out a novel, and a vertical timeline would suit me so much more than a horizontal one. I’m hoping this is something I overlooked (both within the program and here in the forums).

Thanks in advance!!

Hi @flareout Do you remember which version of the app you were using? The relationship view in V1 had something similar in appearance to a vertical timeline, but the current version doesn’t have that capability.

Was there something in particular that a vertical timeline would help you do? There might be another option we can suggest.

Hi Rob, thanks for the reply.

I was using v3, as I only discovered AT last year, and so would have downloaded v3.

It would be more for my own personal ease of use (rather than something functional). I find scrolling up and down more intuitive and easier to use than the current layout, which has me scrolling right to left. It would, I believe, also allow for more “real estate,” allowing for easier-to-read moments/events.

Funny, I just scrolled over and noticed the timeline for this forum is vertical (along the right-hand side)! Something akin to that.

It seems there’s no immediate solution—might I suggest this as a feature request?

Thanks again!
