What are the fields expected in a CSV file for import?

I have a number of project plans in Project Libre — bad mistake — that I want to transfer to Aeon Timeline. As AT does not Project Libre as an Import option importing the project structure as CSV seems like the only way but … there is no help on what CSV files should contain. All the format of CSV help topic mentions is the file should be in UTF-8 format and there is an easier to ensure than the method suggested therein. The topic has no mention at all of what the columns are (names and data content) and whether these are in some prescribed order. By the way the help topic on updating using a CSV is incomprehensible (because there is no mention of field names and expected data).

What fields are expected? Actually, none. It’s that easy.

When you input a file, the first thing you do is select which fields in your CSV file correspond to AT data.

Each record has to have a title, so that’s an association you’ll have to make.

Other than that, as few or as many Aeon fields as you want to set from the CSV is up to you.

If the CSV has extra fields that shouldn’t go into Aeon, no biggie.
