Hi,
I’m writing a fantasy series that has it’s own calendar which is inspired by the original Chinese calendar.
My calendar consists of the following:
- Cycles of 4 eras of each 12 years.
- Each era represents an element (air, water, fire, earth)
- Each year in an era represents a zodiac sign.
- Each year consists of 12 months.
I know I can make the eras in Aeon Timeline, but I can’t additionally make also the years with the named zodiac signs. Which means I now need a spreadsheet in which I both have the Eras and the Zodiac years to make sure I enter things correctly in Aeon. And if I enter something in Aeon, I need to check my spreadsheet to see which zodiac year it is before I can write it in my manuscript.
It would be great if we could have an extra tab in which we could define zodiac years. Perhaps with a checkbox somewhere if you want to use zodiac years in eras?
That would result in:
- Current tab for weekdays
- Current tab for months
- Extra tab for years with a checkbox to link them to the eras, if necessary
- Current tab for the eras.
I have no idea, of course, if this feasible in Aeon. @Peter_T has made a program to generate a template (see the topic I started in Q & A here) that can be used in AT 2 and AT3. It would be ideal, however, if this were a part of AT, especially for fantasy writers who might want more control over both years and eras.
Thanks for the consideration!
