How to force events to share a single row (no vertical stacking) when end and start dates are identical?

Hi!

New to Aeon Timeline, is there any way to ensure events that end and start on the same day are horizontally aligned? It seems like Aeon is looking at this scenario as temporal overlap, wondering if there’s a setting I can flip that can allow overlap. See issue in attached screenshot.

Thanks!

Just below the timeline, there is an option to configure the ‘layout’, and you can set it to ‘compact’ or ‘waterfall,’ which should achieve what you are saying.

It’s also worth noting that an event that ends on a day, when the day is your most precise metric, ends at the end of that day.
Exception is when start and end are the same day and you manually mark the duration as 0.

Those two events can’t go on the same line because they have an overlap of 1 day.

@jess’ answer to a similar question might help:

This is true, but just a heads-up that in 3.5 we’ve added the option to have the duration count to the start of the date instead of the end.

Select the event, then in the inspector, go to Dates > More > Duration counts to, and you can change it there.
