Making 2 periods in one and only line

Hello From France.

I am an Aeon Timeline user since maybe a year now and I have a question, but here is my use of the timeline to make it easyer to understand :
I am a Guitar collector, and I use it as a sort of “possession timeline” so, I create an “item” and insert the date I have bought a specific guitar ans a second date when I sold it, (otherwise, I check the “ongoing” option, and it fits perfectly my needs).

But

Now I want to insert the manufacture date of each instrument, so in a perfect world, I wished to have a single line, with, in the right order :
manufacture date / purchase date / selling date (or ongoing, if I have not sold the guitar).

I have tried many ways to do so, but at best, I have two periods, but I cannot put these on THE SAME LINE.

is there only a way to do so ?

(If it’s not clear, don’t hesitate to ask me)

thanks in advance for any help or explanations.

Unfortunately no, there isn’t a way to add a third date to an item on the timeline. We have had requests before for the ability to add a ‘date’ property to be able to add more dates rather than just start/end, which sounds like it may be what you are after, so it is something we have on our feature request list to possibly look at in the future.

Recently, there was an issue raised that, in my opinion, is related to your problem. Maybe you can adapt the solution?
See: Can I display selected events, or children of an event , on one horizontal line?
You would have to create two events, but they actually can be displayed on one line.
