Problem Description
Background
In November 2024 I asked on the forum whether AeonTimeline is reliable when used with OneDrive, due to concerns about locally stored data causing inconsistencies. At the time, Jess indicated this was not the case. Is Aeon TimeLine reliable using OneDrive?
Issue
I have since identified that recentfiles.xml is stored locally rather than in the same synchronized location as the timeline data file.
Impact
When I increase the version number of the database file after major edits on Laptop A and later resume work on Laptop B, AeonTimeline may reference an older version via the local recentfiles.xml . This creates a significant risk of working on an outdated file.
Expected Behavior
recentfiles.xml should be stored in the same synchronized location as the data file to ensure consistent file references across devices.
Request
Please store recentfiles.xml alongside the project data file, or make its storage location configurable.
