Syncing Nested Items -- What am I doing wrong? :0)

OS
Windows 11 Home Version 23H2

Aeon Timeline
Version: 3.4.16
Shell Version: 3.4.23
Opening Mode: about.editor
Operating System: Windows 10 <— this (copied via About) is actually wrong, my OS is Windows 11
Device Model: GS76 Stealth 11UG

Just noticed I was behind on Aeon versions, purchased and installed updated and tried again, same results:
Version: 3.4.23
Shell Version: 3.4.23

Scrivener
Version: 3.1.2.0 (1812589) 64-bit Windows

My Issue

I have a top-level folder in Scrivener for my fictional frameworks, e.g., Bureaucracy. Under each framework I have a series of nested items:

[framework] e.g., “Bureaucracy”
[category]
[department]
[division]
[office]
[unit]
[team]

In Aeon, I have corresponding item types, each parenting the level below it.

When I try to add the syncing of frameworks as a nested structures, the only option I get for any level in either Document or Folder is Framework.

Surely I’m doing something wrong, on one side or the other, or both.

Suggestions on what I should check?

I had this issue! It is not intuitive to solve, unfortunatly. Check if any of those types have ‘Chronological Order Always’ checked. I think if that is checked then for some reason it won’t show up as sync-able. Likely something would break between the two, given you can move the order of things in Scrivener.

I am not 100% sure I remember right, though, so let me know if that helped. And if it does, I think the (?) section next to that should come with a warning ‘can’t sync this item type with Scrivener if checked.’

Hi @Faustyna,

Thanks! I do have the “chronological order (always)” checkbox UNticked for all item types in the Framework hierarchy. That darn option has caused me so much trouble in the past it was a good double-check. But sadly, not the issue here.
